2025 U20 AFCON: Flying Eagles To Play Two Friendly Games In Egypt

The Nigeria U20 national team, Flying Eagles will play two different friendly games before their first match at the 2025 CAF U20 African Nations Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
In a fresh draw conducted by CAF, Nigeria is housed in Group B alongside Tunisia, Kenya and Morocco.
Reacting, the team's Head Coach, Aliyu Zubairu said the Nigeria Football Federation is working round the clock in making sure that they have adequate preparations ahead of the biennial competition, and is in talks with the countries with which they will play the international friendly game with in Egypt.
"We are going to play two friendly matches in Egypt. One on 23rd and the other on 26th April." The El-Kanemi Warriors Coach told www.bsnsports.com.ng in Abuja.
He continued, "The countries we are going to play, the federation is still in talks with them. It has not been finalized but all the same, even if we don't, we will play against clubs that are equal to the tasks. Remember we have two North African countries in our group, so playing any club in Egypt is as good as playing the North African countries."
Nigeria is the most successive country at the CAF U20 AFCON with six titles and will be looking forward to winning it for the seventh time in Egypt.
13 countries are group in three groups where all four semifinalists will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup.
