2025 WAFCON: Super Falcons Will Be Ready For Tunisia - Madugu Assures

Precious Oham

Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu, has assured that his team will be ready for the opening game of the 13th Africa Cup of Nations finals, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The nine-time African champions will be against Tunisia’s senior women's national team at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Sunday, 6th July, before other games against Botswana and Algeria in the group phase.

“We will continue to work on our weak areas, and I believe that by the time of our first match, we will be ready,” Madugu added.

Madugu insisted on Monday that Nigeria’s Super Falcons must continue to improve in several areas, despite an emphatic 3-1 win over Ghana’s Black Queens in a friendly in Casablanca on Sunday evening.

“The match gave us the opportunity of having the full squad together to really assess our strength as a team, and build on team cohesion, coordination and on various combinations.

“It will always be a work in progress, but we are very focused on our realisable and achievable target of Mission X. The girls are ready and are showing real hunger for victory, and team spirit is high. We are looking forward to our first match on Sunday against Tunisia.”

As Coach Madugu assures that the Super Falcons will be fully prepared to face Tunisia in the upcoming 2025 WAFCON, Nigerian fans are once again rallying behind their team with high hopes. The anticipation and competitive spirit surrounding tournaments like this aren’t just felt on the pitch, but also resonate with fans who enjoy strategic challenges off the field. Platforms like Caspo777 capture that same adrenaline and passion, offering an immersive online gaming experience that mirrors the unpredictability and excitement of live sports.
