Precious Oham
Super Eagles handler, Jose Pesiero said his players didn't have enough rest before the FIFA World Cup qualifying African series game with the Warriors of Zimbabwe which ended one apiece, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
In his post-match reaction, the under-fire coach, who has only gathered two points after playing 153 FIFA-ranked Lesotho and 125 FIFA-ranked Zimbabwe, described the trip from Uyo to Rwanda as a 'difficult trip.'
He said: "It was indeed a tough trip from Uyo to here on the bus and flight, for many hours. The players didn't rest well enough for quick play in the weather. First half very best, second half much better."
The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers resume in June 2024 with Nigeria hosting South Africa, current leaders of Group C, before travelling to an away game against Benin Republic.
