Head Coach of Nigeria’s U20 Women’s National Team, Moses Aduku, has expressed confidence ahead of the Falconets’ clash with Rwanda in the second round, first leg of the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers scheduled for Sunday in Kigali, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Aduku stated that his team is focused on securing a positive result away from home, emphasizing the importance of attacking football and strategic discipline. “We have had the opportunity to watch the Rwandan girls in their first-round games against Zimbabwe, and we now have an idea of how they play,” Aduku said. “We will devise strategies to neutralize them and then go for victory.”

While acknowledging the potential challenge of playing away from home, the coach stressed that venue would not be a determining factor. “We are happy to be playing the first leg away, but at the end, what matters is the effort put into every match, not necessarily the venue,” he added. “I know the quality of players I have in my team, and I have confidence in them.”

The match will take place at the Kigali-Pele Stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 p.m. local time (2:00 p.m. Nigeria time).

The Falconets are aiming to secure a strong result in the first leg to ease the pressure heading into the return fixture as they continue their campaign for a place at the 2026 tournament.
