2026 W/Cup Qualifier: Rwanda Elects New FA President Ahead Of Super Eagles Clash

As Rwanda prepares to face Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the Rwandan football fraternity has witnessed a major leadership change with the election of a new Football Association President, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The election, which took place in Kigali, saw the emergence of Shema Ngoga Fabrice, who will now oversee the country’s football development and international representation.

His appointment comes at a crucial time, as the national team gears up for one of its toughest fixtures against the three-time African champions, Nigeria.

The new FA boss has promised to inject fresh ideas into the administration of the game, pledging support to the technical team and players as they look to make history by securing a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
