Eight players of the Super Falcons have arrived at the team’s camp in Lome, Togo, ahead of their 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifying clash against Benin Republic, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The early arrivals are lodged at Hotel Sarakawa, where the team will begin their preparation for the crucial fixture.
Among the first set of players in camp are captain Asisat Oshoala, Taiwo Afolabi, Folashade Ijamilusi, Miracle Usani, Joy Omewa, Aderline Mgbechi, Blessing Illivieda, and Kafayat Mafisere.
Notably, the camp also welcomed new invitee Joy Omewa, who received her maiden call-up to the senior national team.
The remaining players, including those based abroad, are expected to join in the coming days as head coach Justin Madugu looks to assemble a full squad before the qualifier.
The Super Falcons will face Benin Republic later this month as they begin their journey toward securing qualification for the 2026 WAFCON.
