Rwanda's head coach, Adel Amrouche, has expressed his disappointment after his team’s 2-0 loss to Nigeria in front of President Paul Kagame, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
President Kagame and his wife were in attendance on Friday as the Amavubi fell to the Super Eagles, with Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen securing the win for Nigeria with two goals.
Speaking after the match, the Algerian tactician admitted that improvements are needed within his squad.
“There are things we need to correct in this team. No problem, we lost, but we will regroup and come back stronger in our next game.”
“I feel very ashamed today. We cannot put on such a performance in front of all these fans and His Excellency, President Paul Kagame.”
“I hate losing. I am a bad loser. We did very well against Lesotho, but today was disappointing,” he added.
