2026 World Cup Playoffs: Chelle Reveals Plan To Tackle Gabon

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has outlined his approach ahead of Nigeria’s crucial clash against Gabon in the semi-final of the playoffs in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Speaking in an interview with Eagle FM, Chelle emphasized that his primary focus remains on his own team’s performance while acknowledging the quality of the Gabonese side.

“I can tell you they have a very good coach with a solid football philosophy. This is the final stage, and the most important thing is for us to stay focused on our team,” Chelle stated.

“My job now is to study Gabon carefully and decide the best tactical approach. I might choose to defend for the entire 90 minutes or increase the pressure on their players, depending on what the analysis shows.”
