The Cheetahs of Benin will be without two of their key players when they face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their decisive 2026 World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Both Yohan Roche and Sessi D'Almeida have been ruled out of the encounter after receiving yellow cards in Friday’s 1–0 victory over Rwanda in Kigali.

The bookings were their second of the qualifying campaign, triggering an automatic one-match suspension.

Their absence will be a major blow to coach Gernot Rohr, as both players have been instrumental in Benin’s impressive run that currently sees them top of Group C heading into the final round of matches.

Benin will now rely on their depth to contain a rejuvenated Nigerian side aiming to secure qualification with a win on home soil.
