2026 World Cup Qualifier: Rwanda Coach Vows To Fight Hard Against South Africa
Sampson Adedeji
Rwanda head coach Adel Amrouche has vowed that his side will not go down without a fight when they face South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in their final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Amavubi suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Benin Republic in Kigali last Friday, ending their hopes of reaching the global showpiece.
Despite the setback, Amrouche maintained that his players remain determined to finish strong.
“We are disappointed, yes, because we wanted to win that match,” Amrouche told reporters ahead of the clash. “But this is football. What matters now is our reaction, and I can assure you that we will not go down easily against South Africa. We will fight for every ball.”
The Algerian tactician also urged his players to uphold the pride of their nation.
“It’s not over until the final whistle,” he added. “This is about dignity, identity, and the Rwandan spirit. South Africa will meet a team that refuses to give up.”
