The Bafana Bafana of South Africa played their second warm-up game organised for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers that will commence in November, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After playing Namibia last weekend, the host confronted a more formidable DR Congo side and the game was keenly played.

South Africa did a good job of frustrating the visitors in the first stage of the half.

But DR Congo were not unfazed, as they did sit back and watch the hosts taking command of the showpiece.

In the 25th minute of the contest, Bafana broke the deadlock through Burnley FC star forward Lyle Foster.

The match went into the half-time break with a 1-0 scoreline in favour of Broos’ boys.

Back out for the second stanza, the showdown got off to a cagey start, with both sides struggling to find any real momentum.

As the second half wore on, it was action-packed, unfortunately, chances were few and far between for both nations as the game ended 1-0 in favour of the host.

Apart from Nigeria's Super Eagles in the group, South Africa will also face neighbours Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Rwanda and Benin.
