Rwanda head coach Adel Amrouche has vowed that his team will give everything to stop South Africa’s dream of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Amavubi’s hopes of reaching the global showpiece came to an end following a narrow 1–0 defeat to the Benin Republic in Kigali on Friday.

Despite the heartbreak, Amrouche insists that his side remains focused on finishing the qualifiers on a high note when they face South Africa in their final group game.

“I am still gutted that we lost to Benin in the final minutes of our game in Kigali,” the Algerian tactician admitted.

“I really wanted to surprise the world and get Rwanda to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. But this is football, and we must get ready for our game against South Africa,” he told Osasu Obayiuwana.

Rwanda will be aiming to end their campaign with a statement performance against Bafana Bafana, who are fighting to secure their ticket to the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
