Nigeria's Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has revealed the reason his team failed to beat Lesotho on Thursday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian side with their array of stars forced the Crocodiles of Lesotho to a 1-1 draw at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

During the match conference, Peseiro attributed the draw to the missed chances in the game and complained about the away team playing a defensive game

"We had 76% ball possession against 24%, we missed many opportunities to score but missed many goal opportunities. The opponents shot two times and scored one. I'm sad of course I am not happy that we managed to get one point from the game."

About the performance of the Super Eagles. "I think they tried, the opponents stayed at the defense and came forward only two or three times. "Lesotho was lucky not to concede many goals. How many opportunities do they create?

"We didn't prepare well for the match and the players didn't rest well for the Lesotho match because some players came on Monday, others on Tuesday and we couldn't train until Wednesday. The Wednesday training was not too good because we have a match today.

"I asked why CAF had to fix our match for Wednesday and in three days we will play against Zimbabwe.

"Why is South Africa playing tomorrow and ours is today, why?", he quizzed.
