Several countries with stadiums not approved by the African Football Confederation have requested to host their 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

For years, Morocco has been a popular choice for various national teams seeking a venue for official matches, especially during African Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers.

This will once again be the case for the 5th and 6th matchdays of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March.

The matches affected include:

Group A: Burkina Faso vs. Djibouti and Ethiopia vs. Egypt (5th day); Ethiopia vs. Djibouti (6th day)

Group F: Burundi vs. Ivory Coast and Burundi vs. Seychelles

Group I: Comoros vs. Mali and Comoros vs. Chad

The specific dates are yet to be confirmed.

Four stadiums have been selected for the matches: Meknes, El Jadida, Berkane, and Casablanca's Stade Larbi Zaouli.

Details about the exact dates and venues will be announced shortly.
