2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Omeruo, Umar, Collins Arrive Super Eagles Nest In Uyo For Lesotho, Zimbabwe

Three players have arrived at the Super Eagles camp in Uyo ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Defenders Kenneth Omeruo from Kasimpasa in Turkey, Jamilu Collins of Cardiff FC in Wales, and striker Sadiq Umar from Real Sociedad of Spain arrived at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo by 11 am.

The Secretary of the Akwa Ibom State Football Normalization Committee, Sir John Etim received the players on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation.

More players are expected to hit camp today and tomorrow as preparation for the clash on Thursday gets underway.

Coach Jose Peseiro invited 23 players for this month’s World Cup qualifying fixtures against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
