With the crucial double-header against Rwanda and Zimbabwe approaching, Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has expressed confidence in the Super Eagles’ readiness to deliver strong performances, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria currently sits at the bottom of the qualification table after four matches and must secure victories in both games to revive their World Cup hopes.

Speaking to journalist Oluwashina Okeleji, Osimhen emphasized the significance of the fixtures while affirming the team’s determination.

"You have to give everything; it’s every young player’s dream to play at the World Cup. Mine is no exception. I want to be there, just like every one of my teammates. We are looking forward to the matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe to correct past mistakes. We’ll be ready."

Acknowledging the challenges of African football, Osimhen added: "It won’t be easy. African football is unpredictable, but we’ll take each game as it comes."

The striker also spoke about the team’s new coach, expressing optimism about the fresh direction.

"I’ve spoken with him a few times, and I understand the objectives he has set for the team. I’m looking forward to our first training session to experience his approach firsthand," he said.
