  20th National Sports Festival: Edo, Lagos Clash In Men's And Women's Football Finals By Niyi Busari Team Lagos defeated the defending champions, Team FCT 3-0 in the semifinal of the 20th National Sports Festival at the University of Benin Stadium, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Team FCT disappointed their fans at the stand after  in the first half after dominating the Lagosians but lacked the cutting edge losing six glaring chances to end the half 0-0. Returning for the second half, Lagos men's football team showed that they were more serious as they looked more composed than their Abuja counterparts. After a controversial penalty was awarded to Lagos in the 32nd minute which converted to give Lagos the deserved lead. The goal down the morale of the former champions, and two successful goals were scored with beautiful build-up from the midfield to end the dreams of FCT of retaining the title they won in 2018. In the second semifinal, Team Edo who were group B winners defeated Team Imo 3-1 to book a final ticket against Lagos. In the other two semifinals in the women's football event, Team Edo pipped Team Delta 1-0 while Team Lagos humiliated Team Kaduna 4-0 for a final tussle on Monday.
