Super Eagles To Play Atletico Madrid With Adequate Security By Admin Fans coming to watch the Super Eagles play LaLiga giants, Atletico Madrid, for the GOtv MAX Cup at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, have been assured of adequate security in and around the match venue, as two hundred and forty two security men will be deployed to monitor and secure the stadium. The match, billed for Tuesday is an international friendly tournament organized by MultiChoice Nigeria and will feature mostly home-based Super Eagles. The Atletico team will feature stars who won't be at the World Cup in Russia; Jan Oblak, Fernando Torres, Kevin Gamiero and Thomas Partey among others. Martin Mabutho, General Manager, Sales and Marketing, MultiChoice Nigeria, explained that top-notch security arrangements have been put in place to ensure that fans are protected in and around the stadium. "Our customers and fans alike have nothing to fear, as are working with government and private security officers to ensure safety for everyone who comes to the Godswill Akpabio stadium. As such, we are calling on football fans in Uyo and environs to come and watch the Super Eagles play Atletico Madrid in what promises to be a historic match," he said. Atletico Madrid, who won the Europa League last Wednesday and sit second in the LaLiga standings, are visiting Nigeria for the first time on the invitation of MultiChoice Nigeria.
