37 Universities to Fight for Glory in 1st All-Nigerian Universities Karate Championship in Abuja

UniAbuja Vice Chancellor By Niyi Busari The Nigeria Universities Karate Association (NUKA) in collaboration with Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN) and University of Abuja Karate club are organizing the first All Nigerian Universities Karate Championship scheduled to take place at the Convocation Arena University of Abuja from 23rd to 25th, November, 2018. The maiden All Nigerian Universities Karate Championship will see 37 registered Nigerian higher institutions slugging it out for available medals. The Vice Chancellor University of Abuja, Professor, Michael Umale Adikwu who stated unequivocally the school readiness to host their event has given assurance that the tournament will be a success and hitch-free. To achieve this, he has directed that the funds meant for the execution of the championship should be released so as to fast track the necessary things needed to be done before the commencement of the championship. The championship, according to the statement made available to www.bsnsports.com.ng, shall be in accordance with the World Karate Federation (WKF), International Universities Sports Federation (FISU) and Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) rules and regulations. Officials which are drawn from the Nigeria Karate Referee Commission (NKRC) will take charge of the fights during the competition, the statement added. The championship which is the first of its kind in Nigeria will see the champions represent Nigeria in subsequent championship
