3SC Maul Smart City 3-0 In Warm-up Match

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, continued their preparations for the resumption of the Nigeria National League (NNL) with a 3-0 win over Smart City of Lagos.

In what could be regarded as a replay of the 2019 Aiteo Cup round of 16 encounter, in which Smart City upset 3SC via penalty shootout, the Oluyole Warriors outscored their opponents to return to winning ways, having drawn their last two friendlies, 2-2 against Remo Stars and 0-0 against Stationery Stores respectively.

Mohammed Mohammed opened scoring in the 9th minute, slotting in the ball after petit Awujola Sadiq's pull out located him in the vital area.

The Stars increased the tally in the 59th minute through enterprising Awujola Sadiq, who lashed on a well laid pass by Ayobami Junior to put the ball beyond the reach of the Smart City goalkeeper.

Ochidi Micheal sealed it up with the third goal in one minute of added time.

The Oluyole Warriors, are scheduled to take on Remo Stars away from Ibadan next week, in the reverse fixture of last Friday's friendly which ended 2-2.
