3SC Offsets Late Izu Joseph's Outstanding After 4 Years

Shooting Stars Sporting Club of Ibadan, 3SC, have paid the balance of allowance and bonuses owed its former player, late Izu Joseph, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Late Izu Joseph was gruesomely killed by the Nigerian military on October 16, 2016 in Rivers state while holidaying in his home state.

Aged 24 at the time, the unfortunate incident threw his family into disarray as he was the official provider for his immediate family which comprises of his old father, and two daughters of his.

It was reported that 3SC were owing the former Shooting Stars's defender Three Million and Five hundred thousand (N3.5m), the initial debt, whose balance was paid in March, 2020.

For the past four years, 3SC have been paying the outstanding in parts, the balance of the payment was remunerated in the last week of March, 2020.

Rasheed Balogun, Shooting Star General Manager confirmed the payment to BSN Sports on Tuesday, he said: "Shooting Stars have paid the remaining balance of the money they are owing late Izu Joseph. The balance would have been paid since last December but we went through many protocol which delayed the payment."

Meanwhile, when contacted to confirm whether 3SC are no longer owing his younger brother, Rueben Izu, who has been in the forefront to recover the debt confirmed on Wednesday that Shooting Stars have settled all the outstanding.

Rueben, said: "I have just confirmed from my father that the balance of the money 3SC are owing my brother have been paid."

He could not however, confirmed the amount that was paid, when it was paid and how that N3.5 million were paid in part.
