3SC, Stationery Stores Friendly Match Ends In Draw

...CONFRONT SMART CITY ON FRIDAY

By Tosin Omojola

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, were on Wednesday, held to a 0-0 draw by Stationery Stores of Lagos.

The friendly match, played at the Lekan Salami Stadium, saw the visitors put up a brave fight, to withstand the firepower of the Oluyole Warriors.

The Ibadan soccer lords did the playing for most parts of the match, forcing Stores to be on the defensive but lacked the cutting edge, as they missed numerous scoring chances, including a second half penalty kick.

Team Manager and Chief coach of 3SC, Dimeji Lawal and Edith Agoye, drew positives from the encounter as they both gave the players pat in the back for putting up a good performance, the result not withstanding.

Meanwhile, the Oluyole Warriors, will continue their preparations for the resumption of the Nigeria National League (NNL) with another friendly match against Smart City of Lagos on Friday, with kick off slated for 3.00pm.
