Balogun Assures 3SC Fans Of NPFL Promotion ..Says 3SC will represent Nigeria in the continent next season By Sampson Adedeji Chairman, Shooting Stars Sporting Club, Rasheed Balogun is confident that Oluyole Warriors will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Balogun who on Wednesday in Abuja told www.bsnsports.com.ng explained that 3SC can achieve the feat if they win the Federation Cup this season. "3SC will not take the Aiteo cup competition with levity this season, we have not being paying attention to the competition but this time around we will give all it takes to make sure we win the title. "I want to assure the fans that this year we are going to focus our attention on the cup because the lackadaisical approach that we normally put up anytime the Aiteo cup come in the yearly competition is the reason we have not been in the final for a very long time. With squad, if we concentrate more on the title and win it, then 3sc can return back to the continent. With new Nigeria National League kick off set for April 3rd, Shooting Stars chairman Rasheed Balogun also reiterated the club readiness to secure promotion. He made this known while speaking with BSN Sports after the NNL congress that was held in Abuja on Wednesday. "People has been asking how prepared 3SC are for the season, so far so good, we have a formidable team going by results recorded in the friendly matches the team has played so far. Balogun said he couldn't wait for the 2019 NNL season to kick off as they are battle ready to fight and pick one of the tickets available for promotion to NPFL. In his words: "We have been adjudicating for the league to kick off and I believe with that if we can repeat or better our performances from the friendly matches we have played, nothing will stop 3sc from promoting to the NPFL at the end of this season. Though, he praises the outgoing Oyo state governor, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi, he however, hopeful of better seasons under the state governor-elect, Makinde "As far as we concerned, we have heard from several nook and crannies in Oyo State that in coming governor is this or that but surprisingly during the campaign he put on 3SC Jersey all over the places and that baffled me and those that are closer to him said he doesn't support foreign clubs. The outgoing governor, Gov. Abiola Ajimobi during his 8 years in office made sure that 3SC did not lack anything." "By the grace of God is not going be the same story, what they call manager is when you are able to manage when there is money and when there is no money. "I have work with several clubs and by the grace God you are going to see new brand of Shooting Stars. He noted that the only avenue for 3SC to represent Nigeria in the continent is to win the Aiteo Cup.
