5th NYG: Hosts, Kwara, 17 Others Yet To Win Medals As Lagos Overtake FCT

Team Lagos on Thursday moved to the top of the overall medals table at the ongoing 5th National Youth Games in Ilorin, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

BSN Sports can report Lagos state won 5 gold, and 10 silver (15 medals) to overtake Delta and FCT who were at two different times placed first on the log of the medals table.

Delta state are in the 2nd position having garnered 4 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze (11 medals) while Team FCT occupied the 3rd position with 4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals (8 medals).

However , Team Edo, Ogun, Akwa Ibom and Ondo were 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th on the medals table respectively.

Team Edo has 4 gold, 2 silver and one bronze medals, while Ogun has 4 gold, and one bronze medals as Akwa Ibom won 3 gold and one bronze to be in the 6th position.

Ondo, Ekiti, Bayelsa, Borno, Anambra, Oyo, Osun, Kogi, Bauchi and Kano state made top 15.

Meanwhile, Abia, Adamawa, Benue, Cross-River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Katsina, Kwara, Nasarawa, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba and Zamfara states are yet to win any medals.
