6th National Youth Games: Avani Goel Dedicates Three Gold Medals To Parents, Coach By Joel Ajayi 11 years old girl, Avani Goel, who won three gold medals in Gymnastics event at the ongoing 6th edition of National Youth Games in Ilorin, Kwara state dedicated the medals to parents and coach. Avani won the medals in aerobics, vault and power tumbling categories, to win the three gold out of possible five. It would be recalled that, the young girl won a gold medal at the last National Sports Festival for Delta state. The elated Avani, while speaking to journalist in Ilorin, expressed appreciation to her Coach and family who supported her to achieve the feat. According to her, "I am very happy and I want to thank my Coach and my family for their support which resulted into achieving this feat. When asked, if she would like to represent Nigeria at any world stage, She replied: “Yes, I want to represent Nigeria at world stage, like the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and that has been my target.”
