A Trailblazer At 59 - Celebrating Chief Sunday Dare On Another Milestone

I would like to extend heartfelt wishes to Chief Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications to Mr President, as he celebrates his 59th birthday today.

Chief Sunday Dare is an astute, competent, hardworking, and charismatic trailblazer.

These qualities uniquely characterize his personality as he marks another year of life. As a former Minister of Sports, I recall how he pioneered several enabling policies that we are currently implementing as part of our Renewed Hope initiative for Nigeria's sports economy.

His passion for sustainable sports development is one reason why the 22nd edition of the National Sports Festival is being held in Ogun State, coinciding with the closing ceremony of the games on his special birthday.

As a consultant, I applied for Ogun State to host the Sports Festival, and Chief Sunday Dare, then the Sports Minister, strongly believed in our bid and awarded us the hosting rights.

Today, as the games draw to a close on his birthday, we can reflect on this significant achievement.

The good people of Ogun State will always remember the vital role he played in placing Gateway State on the global sporting map with this historic event. Moreover, Chief Sunday Dare is a dedicated Democrat, and it is fitting that his birthday also coincides with Democracy Day.
