As athletes continue to burn the tracks in the ongoing Africa Athletics championship in Mauritius, Team Nigeria continue to show its prowess when it comes to athletics in the continent, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

As at the end of the events on Friday, Team Nigeria stayed in 3rd position on the medals table with 3 gold medals.

The team camp was thrown into a frenzy on Saturday afternoon as the country claimed another gold medal in the Women Hammer Throw.

Sade Olatoye lived up to her billings winning the gold medal in the event by throwing 63.67m to hand the country its 4th gold.

Her winning ensured that Team Nigeria remained in 3rd position on the table.
