ABS FC Names Abdulrahman Bashir Team Trainer

Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin Football Club has confirmed the appointment of former club captain, Abdulrahman Bashir, as its new Team Trainer.

Bashir enjoyed a distinguished playing career, turning out for several top Nigerian clubs including Enyimba FC, Lobi Stars, Nasarawa United, Wikki Tourists, Sunshine Stars and Plateau United. He also earned an invitation to the Nigeria U-23 national team and travelled to Europe for professional trials during his career.

Commenting on the appointment, the club’s Director of Football, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, explained that the decision is in line with the vision of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, which focuses on using football as a tool for youth empowerment and talent development.

As part of its technical development strategy, ABS FC will also sponsor Bashir for a coaching course at the National Institute for Sports (NIS), Lagos.

The club expressed confidence that Bashir’s appointment will further strengthen its player development framework and ensure continuity within the team’s structure.
