AFCON 2023 Qualifiers: Super Eagles Invitation Excites Goalkeeper Adeleye

Israel based goalkeeper, Adebayo Adeleye, was on cloud nine after he was listed among the three goalkeeper invited for the upcoming 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Adeleye made all the headlines with his club in Isreal Hapoel after helping them to a place in the elite division.

He made the Super Eagles team to the United States for the doubleheader international friendly against Mexico and Ecuador but was unable to make his debut due to the presence of Francis Uzoho.

Jose Peseiro released the list of players that will prosecute the game against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principle and Adeleye's was prominently featured.

He reacted to his call up through his social media handle and appreciated everyone responsible for his invitation.

"Excited to be invited to the Super Eagles for the AFCON Qualifiers against Sierra Leone and São Tomé.

"Thank you all for the support so far and special appreciation to everyone at Hapoel.

It’s actually a dream come through for me," he said.
