AFCON 2025: Uganda Unveil Strong Squad For Super Eagles
Sampson Adedeji
With just weeks to go before the kickoff of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Uganda's group opponents of the Super Eagles have announced a strong and competitive squad for the continental showpiece, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Cranes, led by experienced Belgian tactician Paul Put, have enjoyed a resurgence in recent months, particularly with their impressive performances in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Riding on that momentum, Put on Saturday officially unveiled his squad for AFCON 2025, signalling Uganda’s intent to challenge strongly in Morocco.
Uganda have been drawn in Group C, where they will battle three-time African champions Nigeria, Tunisia, and Tanzania in what promises to be one of the tournament’s most competitive groups.
The Cranes will now intensify their preparations as they aim to make a major impact when the tournament commences.
