AFCON 2025: Arsenal, Manchester City Legend Congratulates Nigeria

Former Arsenal FC and Manchester City star Samir Nasri has congratulated Nigeria’s Super Eagles following their impressive performance in the quarter-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Super Eagles delivered a commanding display on Saturday as they defeated Algeria 2-0 in Marrakech to secure a place in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Nigeria dominated large spells of the encounter, combining physical intensity with tactical discipline to outclass the North Africans and keep their title hopes alive.

Reacting to the result, Nasri praised the Super Eagles for their overall approach and execution on the night.

“Bravo to the Nigerian team for the physical athleticism and well-deserved tactical mastery in the match,” the former France international said.

Nigeria will now turn their attention to the semi-final, where they are set to face host nation Morocco as they continue their quest for a fourth AFCON title.
