AFCON 2025: Atalanta Celebrate Ademola Lookman

Italian Serie A club Atalanta have celebrated Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman following his influential performance that helped the Super Eagles secure qualification to the round of 16 at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Lookman was on the scoresheet as Nigeria recorded a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Tunisia in their second group game, sealing progression to the knockout stage of the competition in Morocco.

The Atalanta attacker continued his fine form at the tournament with another composed display, underlining his importance to the Super Eagles’ attacking setup. 

His goal against the North Africans marked his second of the competition, having also found the net in Nigeria’s opening fixture.

Reacting to the feat, Atalanta took to their official channels to congratulate Lookman, praising his contribution and leadership in Nigeria’s successful group stage campaign.

The Super Eagles will now turn their attention to the final group game against Uganda as they aim to finish strongly ahead of the round of 16, with Lookman expected to remain a key figure in their quest for continental glory.
