AFCON 2025: CAF Releases Official Match Calendar

Ahead of the kickoff of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially released the match calendar for the prestigious continental tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
A total of 24 countries, including Nigeria, have secured qualification for the competition, which is scheduled to begin on December 21, 2025.
The tournament will run through the festive period and into the new year, promising thrilling football action and intense competition for Africa’s biggest football prize.
The opening match will take place at one of Morocco’s flagship stadiums, with the host nation expected to feature in the curtain-raiser.
The group stage fixtures will span across several Moroccan cities as teams battle for a place in the knockout rounds.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles, who booked their ticket earlier in the qualifiers, will be looking to improve on their recent AFCON performance and challenge for their fourth continental title.
CAF is expected to release further details regarding match venues, ticketing, and kickoff times in the coming weeks.
