AFCON 2025: Cameroon Players Earn Huge Bonuses After South Africa Victory

Players of the Cameroon national team have been rewarded handsomely following their hard-fought victory over South Africa at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Indomitable Lions secured a 2-1 win against Bafana Bafana to book their place in the quarterfinals of the competition, continuing their quest for a sixth continental title.

Following the qualification, each Cameroon player is set to receive a total of 18,180,000 CFA francs as a combination of winning and qualification bonuses. 

The amount is estimated at approximately $32,550 USD per player, underlining the significance placed on success by the Cameroonian football authorities.

The five-time African champions showed resilience and determination to overcome South Africa, with the victory further boosting morale within the camp ahead of the quarterfinal clash.

Cameroon will now turn their attention to the next round as they aim to maintain momentum and challenge for the AFCON 2025 trophy.
