AFCON 2025: Chippa United Celebrate Nwabali

South African Premier League side Chippa United have congratulated their goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, following his outstanding performances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nwabali was one of Nigeria’s standout players throughout the tournament, playing a crucial role as the Super Eagles finished third to claim the bronze medal. 

The lanky shot-stopper delivered a series of match-winning displays, underlining his importance to the national team.

The Chippa United goalkeeper was particularly impressive in the knockout stages, saving a penalty against host nation Morocco and producing a heroic performance in the third-place playoff against Egypt, where he saved two penalties in the shootout.

 His exploits earned him the Man of the Match award.

Reacting to his achievements, Chippa United took to social media to celebrate their star goalkeeper.

“Congratulations to our Stanley Nwabali for securing third place at the AFCON and winning the Man of the Match award,” the club said. 

“You have done exceptionally great for your country.”

Nwabali’s performances in Morocco have further enhanced his reputation and highlighted his growing influence at both club and international level.
