Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan could be facing disciplinary action from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) following an incident after the Pharaohs’ victory over Benin, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to reports, Hassan made provocative gestures towards Moroccan fans inside the stadium shortly after the final whistle.

The actions were reportedly noticed by CAF officials and have since attracted scrutiny.

While no official complaint has been confirmed, the incident is understood to be under observation, with CAF expected to review the matter if a formal report is submitted.

Disciplinary measures could be taken should the governing body determine that the coach breached conduct regulations.

Egypt secured a crucial win over Benin to advance their AFCON 2025 campaign, but the post-match controversy has shifted attention away from the result and placed Hassan under potential disciplinary spotlight.
