As part of their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) is weighing up the possibility of organizing a friendly match against Nigeria’s Super Eagles, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Pharaohs’ technical team, led by brothers Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, is in discussions to line up a strong opponent ahead of the continental showpiece, which will take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

According to EFA sources, proposals for friendlies against Cameroon and Nigeria are on the table, with the coaching crew analyzing which fixture would provide the best sporting advantage.

These build-up plans are seen as vital for Egypt’s preparations, especially after they were drawn in Group B alongside South Africa, Angola, and Zimbabwe.
