The Gabonese government has reversed its earlier decision affecting the national football team, lifting the suspension placed on senior players Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and captain Bruno Ecuele Manga, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Sports Ministry confirmed that the ban on the duo has been officially withdrawn, paving the way for their immediate reinstatement into the Panthers’ national team setup.

Aubameyang, Gabon’s all-time leading goalscorer, and Manga had previously been sidelined following internal issues linked to the national team’s structure and performance.

In addition to reinstating the players, the Ministry of Sports has formally directed the Gabon Football Federation (FEGAFOOT) to submit a comprehensive plan for the formation of a new technical crew.

This move is part of a broader restructuring aimed at strengthening the national team ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The decision signals a renewed commitment by the Gabonese authorities to stabilize the national team and restore harmony within the squad after a turbulent period, especially in the aftermath of AFCON 2025-related developments.

With the suspension lifted, Aubameyang and Manga are now expected to play key roles as Gabon prepares for upcoming competitive fixtures, beginning with the crucial AFCON 2027 qualification campaign.
