AFCON 2025: Morocco Starts Stadium Renovation

As part of preparations for the 2025 African Cup of Nations, host Morocco has commenced preparation for the competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The North African country got the nod to stage the competition last year when the African soccer governing body stripped Guinea of the right to stage the competition.

The football body further announced December -January 2026 as the period for the biennial competition.

The country on Tuesday started the renovation of the famous Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.

Morocco will also host the 2024 Women's African Cup of Nations in 2025.
