AFCON 2025: Ndidi, Onuachu, Osimhen Return to Turkey, To Miss Medal Presentation

Super Eagles stars Victor Osimhen, Paul Onuachu and team captain Wilfred Ndidi have returned to Turkey following Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 outing and will miss the official medal presentation, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The trio, who are all based in the Turkish Super Lig, departed immediately after Friday night’s match on a private jet arranged at the request of their respective clubs. 

Osimhen is on the books of Galatasaray, Onuachu plays for Trabzonspor, while Ndidi features for Besiktas.

As a result of their early departure, the three players will not be present at the medal ceremony scheduled for Saturday. 

It is understood that their medals will be presented to them at a later date through the Nigeria Football Federation.

Despite their absence at the ceremony, Osimhen, Onuachu and Ndidi all played key roles in Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 campaign, contributing significantly to the Super Eagles’ overall success at the tournament in Morocco.
