Nigeria’s Super Eagles will be without captain Wilfred Ndidi when they face host nation Morocco in the semi-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Besiktas midfielder was ruled out of the crucial clash after picking up a yellow card for time-wasting during Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over Algeria in Saturday’s quarter-final encounter.

The caution was Ndidi’s second of the tournament, having previously been booked during Nigeria’s round of 16 match against Mozambique, which automatically triggers a one-match suspension under CAF regulations.

Ndidi’s absence will be a significant blow for the Super Eagles, given his leadership and influence in midfield, as Nigeria prepares for a tough semi-final showdown against the Atlas Lions in Morocco.
