AFCON 2025: Preparation Key For Uganda To Upset Nigeria, Others-Okello

Uganda midfielder Allan Okello has emphasized the need for proper preparation ahead of their AFCON 2025 campaign, particularly with Nigeria and other challenging teams in their group, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Cranes star acknowledged that while the draw was favourable, it also presented tough challenges.

"It’s a good draw, but very tricky. Every team in this tournament is tough," Okello said.

"We’ll face big teams like Nigeria and Tunisia, and our neighbours Tanzania also make it more challenging."

He added that the players must focus on their preparation and be ready for whatever the tournament brings.

This will be Uganda’s 8th appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations, having previously competed in the 1962, 1968, 1974, 1976, 1978, 2017, and 2019 editions.
