AFCON 2025: Super Eagles’ Group Not Tough, Says Udeze

Former Nigerian international Ifeanyi Udeze has stated that the Super Eagles group for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is not particularly difficult, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The three-time African champions were drawn in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania during Tuesday’s draw.

Speaking on Brila FM, the ex-West Bromwich Albion defender acknowledged that there are no longer "minnows" in African football but believes Nigeria has the strength to succeed.

"For me, it's a straightforward group for the Super Eagles. It's not a tough group for us," Udeze said.

"I agree there are no more minnows in African football, but the Super Eagles should be able to progress from this group," he added.
