AFCON 2025: Super Eagles Group Opponent Unveils Provisional List

Tanzania head coach Miguel Gamondi has released his provisional squad as the Taifa Stars begin preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The East African side, making another appearance on the continental stage, will compete in a challenging Group C that features three-time champions Nigeria, regional rivals Uganda, and North African giants Tunisia.

Gamondi’s initial list marks the first phase of Tanzania’s buildup to the tournament, with the coach expected to trim the squad before CAF’s final submission deadline.

The squad announcement signals the beginning of an intensive preparation period, as the Taifa Stars aim to make a strong impression.

Drawn in one of the competition’s toughest groups, Tanzania will need to be at their best, but the squad has expressed confidence and determination to “fight for every point” when action begins in Morocco.
