AFCON 2025: Super Eagles Open Campaign With Tanzania As CAF Releases Schedule

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially released the fixtures for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, with Nigeria’s Super Eagles set to begin their campaign against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to the schedule, the three-time African champions will kick off their Group B campaign on December 23 against Tanzania.
The Super Eagles will then battle the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on December 27, before wrapping up the group stage against Uganda on December 30.
Nigeria will be looking to start strong as they aim for their fourth continental title, having last won the AFCON in 2013.
The team’s group fixtures are expected to be held across two venues in Morocco, with the specific stadiums to be announced by CAF in the coming days.
The tournament promises exciting clashes as the continent’s top football nations vie for glory, with the Super Eagles seeking to make a deep run under their new technical leadership.
