Nigeria’s Super Eagles completed a flawless Group C campaign at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with a convincing 3–1 victory over Uganda, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The three-time African champions finished the group with the maximum nine points from three matches, underlining their status as one of the tournament’s early frontrunners.

Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu opened the scoring in the 28th minute, capitalising on sustained pressure from the Super Eagles to give Nigeria a deserved first-half lead.

Nigeria tightened their grip on the encounter in the second half as Club Brugge midfielder Ralph Onyedika struck twice in quick succession.

Onyedika doubled the advantage in the 62nd minute before adding a third just five minutes later to put the game beyond Uganda’s reach.

The Cranes managed a late response when Rogers Mayor pulled one back, but it proved to be little more than a consolation as Nigeria comfortably saw out the contest.

With the result, the Super Eagles top Group C with a perfect record and head into the knockout stages full of confidence, while Uganda exit the group stage after failing to secure a positive result in their final outing.
