AFCON 2025: Team Camps Officially Open December 16

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco have officially confirmed December 16 as the opening date for team camps, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In a statement released on Monday, the LOC disclosed that any team that arrives in Morocco before December 16 will be responsible for covering its accommodation and logistics expenses until the official camp opening date, just like the Cranes of Uganda.

The LOC also reiterated that the 2025 AFCON tournament will commence on December 21, 2025, and run until January 18, 2026, with participating teams expected to finalize their preparations within the officially approved camp period.

CAF and the host nation, Morocco, assured fans and stakeholders of smooth organisation and world-class facilities throughout the duration of the tournament.
