Uganda Cranes striker Uche Ikpeazu has described his encounter against the Super Eagles of Nigeria as the toughest match of his career, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ikpeazu, who is of Nigerian descent, featured for Uganda in their final Group C fixture against Nigeria at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Super Eagles emerged 3–1 winners to round off the group stage with a perfect record.

Reflecting on the contest after the game, the powerful forward admitted that facing Nigeria posed an enormous challenge for him both physically and mentally.

“The game against Nigeria was the hardest of my career. I did the best I could,” Ikpeazu said.

Despite Uganda’s defeat, Ikpeazu’s comments underline the intensity of the clash and the quality of the Nigerian side, who have been among the standout teams at the tournament so far.
