AFCON 2025: Tunisia Coach Gives Super Eagles Hints On What To Expect

Tunisia head coach Sami Trabelsi has provided an early indication of his tactical approach ahead of his side’s second Group match against Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Speaking during a pre-match press conference on Friday, Trabelsi disclosed that the same team which featured in Tunisia’s opening fixture against Uganda is likely to start against the Super Eagles on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The experienced coach made it clear that he is not inclined to making wholesale changes, especially after a positive performance in the previous game. 

“You don’t change a winning team, do you?” Trabelsi said. 

“Players who have performed well deserve to play again. However, each match has its own reality on the field, and I’m not one of those who make excessive changes.” 

Tunisia began their AFCON 2025 campaign on a strong note against Uganda and will now turn their focus to a crucial encounter with Nigeria, a fixture that could significantly shape the outcome of Group standings. 

The Carthage Eagles are expected to maintain their tactical discipline and continuity, while the Super Eagles prepare to face a familiar lineup with minimal surprises from the North Africans.
