Ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) held an extraordinary General Assembly and Presidential election, where Moez Nasri emerged victorious.

He secured 247 out of 438 votes, surpassing his closest rival, Mahmoud Hammami, by over 100 votes, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 2004 AFCON champions were drawn into the same group as Nigeria's Super Eagles during the Monday draw in Rabat.

In a media interview, Nasri addressed the challenges ahead, with the most pressing issue being the vacant head coach position.

The role has remained open since the dismissal of Faouzi Benzarti following Tunisia's shocking home loss to Comoros in October's qualifying match for the 2025 tournament.

Although Tunisia managed to qualify under interim coach Kais Yaâkoubi, he has since left.

Tunisia's next major test will be their clash with Nigeria in the second group match.
